As the end of another year approaches, we want to offer our thanks to you, our Facebook friends, for your support as we launched ourselves into the social media arena. We may not always agree with each other – just read through some of the comments and counter-comments – but we have vibrant discussions about cultural resources. And we all share a passion for the protection of those resources for future generations.
We have enjoyed another remarkable year at CPAA. We have nurtured our partnerships with the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance and The Wilderness Society, while at the same time working closely with industry giants like Hunt Oil and Bill Barrett Corporation to reach the same objective: Protection of cultural resources and cultural landscapes. We are working closely with the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and several Bureau of Land Management field offices to develop management initiatives that put the protection of cultural resources at the forefront of the federal agencies’ agenda.
